Past Simple form (Forma del Pasado Simple)

Pasado simple con verbos regulares

Necesitamos agregar ‘ed’ al infinitivo (listen, work, talk, etc.) para formar el pasado simple positivo.

I listened.

You worked.

He walked.

She talked.

It rained.

We travelled.

You played.

They cooked.

Pasado simple con verbos irregulares

Hay algunos verbos en inglés que son irregulares y su forma en pasado no termina en ‘ed’. [LISTA DE VERBOS IRREGULARES]

I took a taxi.

You spoke to him.

He gave a lesson.

She met the boss.

It cost a lot of money.

We had a great time.

You won the competition.

They bought a car.

Para formar oraciones negativas en Pasado simple necesitamos usar ‘did not’ (didn’t) + infinitivo.

Negative sentences (oraciones negativas)

I did not go out.

You did not get up early.

He did not do it.

She did not buy apples.

It did not rain.

We did not watch TV.

You did not cook.

They did not play.

Short forms (formas cortas)

I didn’t go out.

Questions (oraciones interrogativas)

Para formar oraciones interrogativas en Pasado simple también

necesitamos usar ‘did’ antes del sujeto.
