Past Perfect Simple form (Forma del Pasado Perfecto Simple)

Oraciones afirmativas

Para formar el pasado perfecto en inglés usaremos el verbo auxiliar ‘have’ en pasado simple, ‘had’, y el participio pasado del verbo principal. Entonces la estructura será la siguiente: [had + participio pasado]

Usaremos ‘had’ con todas las personas.

Para formar el participio pasado de un verbo regular debemos agregar ‘-ed’ a la forma base del verbo, como lo haríamos para formar el pasado simple de verbos regulares. Ejemplo: walk – walked – walked

Sin embargo, los verbos irregulares no siguen la misma regla que los verbos regulares. Ejemplo: go – went – gone

Oraciones negativas

Para formar negaciones necesitamos agregar el adverbio ‘not’ después del verbo auxiliar ‘had’: [sujeto + had + not + participio pasado]

Para formar estas oraciones necesitamos invertir el orden del sujeto y el

vebro auxiliar: [Had + subject + participio pasado]

Oraciones interrogativas  ‘Wh- questions’

Para formular ‘Wh- questions’, o preguntas abiertas, necesitamos agregar un pronombre interrogativo (what, when, where, how, etc.) al comienzo de la oración: [pronombre interrogativo + had + subject + participio pasado]
