(Using the future continuous tense)
Usamos el tiempo futuro continuo para hablar de:
acciones que sucederán en un momento determinado en el futuro y que tendrán cierta duración
-Next month this time I’ll be travelling to Rome.
-At five o’clock we’ll be training at the gym.
acciones inacabadas que se extienden en el tiempo desde el presente hacia el futuro, en estos casos normalmente se combina con ‘still’.
-In an hour I’ll still be sending emails.
-Next year we will still be living in this flat.
una acción que estará en desarrollo en el futuro (futuro simple) y otra acción que la interrumpe (presente simple) (usamos when + present simple)
-I’ll be studying when you arrive.
-They will be sleeping when the match finishes.
*A tener en cuenta: Existe un grupo de verbos que no suelen usarse en futuro continuo en inglés. Estos verbos no indican acciones sino estados. Te dejo una [LISTA DE VERBOS DE ESTADO]
.Verbos que expresan estado y posesión: (ej: be, have, possess)
-They will possess a big fortune.
–They will be possessing a big fortune.
.Verbos que expresan percepción y sentidos: (ej: see, smell, taste)
-What will you be cooking? I’m sure it will smell delicious.
-What will you be cooking? I’m sure it will be smelling delicious.
.Verbos que expresan sentimientos y preferencias: (ej: like, dislike, want)
-I will want to go.
–I will be wanting to go.
.Verbos que expresan actividades mentales: (ej: believe, understand, suppose)
-I won’t understand this exercise.
–I will not be understanding this exercise.
